Doug is founder and President of EPIC Business Strategies, a Milwaukee based executive recruiting and consulting firm.  He has over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, engineering, and general management of several major industrial manufacturers and distribution companies.  He has held executive level positions with SPS Technologies, Honeywell, Pacific Scientific, Ferguson Enterprises, Air Logic Power Systems, and CLARCOR.

Doug graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Industry and Technology emphasizing Electronic Engineering.  He currently is a Director on the Northern Illinois University College of Engineering Advisory Board and also sits on the Strategic Planning Committee for the College of Engineering.  He has held Board positions on the NIU Alumni Association and was on the founding board of several regional NIU alumni groups.

As President of several companies, Doug has led teams in certification projects for ISO9002 and the comparable automotive standard QS9000.  His Engineering expertise has guided companies to create numerous new product offerings which have culminated in dramatic sales increases for many newly patented products.  Doug has experience leading improvement teams in Lean Manufacturing, Kanban and Point-of-Use inventory systems, Cellular Manufacturing techniques, and overall cost reduction programs.

Doug helped lead the management buyout of several CLARCOR Divisions in 1991 and later participated in the acquisition of several "add-on" acquisitions as Vice President of Corporate Development for the newly formed company.  He has most recently been an equity partner and CEO of Air Logic Power Systems in Milwaukee before forming EPIC Business Strategies in January of 2004.  Doug and his family reside in a suburb of Milwaukee Wisconsin.
